Conclusion

Focus: learning environments and users within institutions

From the user perspective we started with the description of roles and the related activities in learning environments.

For each role we described requirements and related classfications of requirements. We create in this way a framework to deduce requested national services. This condensation process is not concluded.
Focus: national services and institutions (further reflections / visions to discuss)

General observations: Users are related to an institution and move in Learning environments. They have access to contents, methods and technics within their learning process. Didactical design of learning environments requests preparation of infrastructure, learning and administration structures and learning scenarios.

-- The services give support to teachers and learners in their learning environments within the institutions.

-- The same structure can be offered at a national level as services related to communities:
  • user pofiles and interests (target groups; individuals, groups; formation; origin; learning goals;..)
  • content (Knowledge transfer; knowledge management; archives; librarys;CMS; Repository)
  • methods (information exchange, knowledge acquisition and reflection; tasks and skills of didactical modells and teaching/learning methods; communication and collaboration)
  • technics (various eTools synchronous, asynchronous, LMS, CMS, Repository,... )

-- The services within an institution gives support directly to users (students, lecturers, assistants). The national service consists in different connected expert-groups (user; pedagogic; technic; organisation) and deliver support to institutions (cspc's). Requirements: information services with instruments(tools), theories (studies), events(conferencies), contacts (communities). Think Tank for developpers and services at various levels and for relevant themes.

  • define the set of tool categories
  • Assign service types to each tool category
  • Define the values of each service feature for all national services
