As of August 1st, 2008, the Edutech web site will no longer be updated. Edutech was funded by the Swiss Virtual Campus programme, which ended on July 31st, 2008. Some activities will be taken over by the e-Learning Services group at the SWITCH foundation.
Branding
Introduction
This page provides you with a step by step instruction to branding in Vista. Further information can be found in Chapter 5, Sect: "Configuring Administration Settings", Sub-section: "Branding Settings" ff 157ff, in the Vista's Administrators guide (pdf, 2.1 MB). Branding allows an institution to produce a unified general look. This applies for all the courses of an institution but leaves some flexibility on the group level to create a sub-set this look (inside the branding parameters preset on the institution level).
Change the settings

Parameters you can act on
to design your own brand:
- Top frame background colour
- Top frame text colour
- Top frame logo
- Top frame logo link. (In the example an empty transparent image is used to cover and make disappear the standard logo).
- top frame background colour to #9acccd
- top frame text colour to #000000
To change these parameters on the group level go to Settings and chose Branding.

To avoid a broken image logo indicate the URL of your logo or of an empty transparent image in the Top Frame Logo field.
