Shortcut Accesses to Content in Vista

This page provides course designers with an overview to the different ways they have to give a special rapid access to content in a course. Please keep in mind that all three shortcuts make students bypass the homepage of the course, where basic instructions or latest news might not get the needed attention. There are 3 fast ways for students to get direct access to content in a Vista course: On the MyWebCT page under the link to the course students can find icons pointing directly into 5 different tools:

Rapid access to a Forum, Mail, Assessment or Assignment

Under the link to their Vista course in the MyWebCT, students sees an icon which is a link that can bypass the homepage of the course and directly lead into the corresponding tool, each time a new event has been placed into that tool (provided that the teacher has given the corresponding permission in the settings).

Under the link to their Vista course in the MyWebCT, students see an icon which is a link that can bypass the homepage of the course and directly lead into the calendar tool.

which makes this a very versatile and powerful access channel to content in your course.
