As of August 1st, 2008, the Edutech web site will no longer be updated. Edutech was funded by the Swiss Virtual Campus programme, which ended on July 31st, 2008. Some activities will be taken over by the e-Learning Services group at the SWITCH foundation.

About this Evaluation
Context
For the period 2004-2007, the Swiss Virtual Campus (SVC) is planning to establish a web based, course platform infrastructure at the national level. The infrastructure will consist of 1-3 complementary products, and will be provided for SVC and other higher education projects in Switzerland. Method
Based on our experience with previous evaluations, the number of criteria has been reduced as much as possible, and the ratings are more subjective than in other studies. We have thoroughly tested each product. Refer to the evaluation description for more information about our evaluation method.
Generalization
Please bear in mind that our evaluation results can not be generalized. The final decisions, the evaluation summaries and even the ratings for a single criterion are deliberately biased by the SVC context
